Micki Callen wrote "In The Hour Of Not Quite Rain" as part of a radio station contest!

This album was released two months after the Buffalo Springfield had broken up for good. Bassist Bruce Palmer had been busted one too many times and, after having been deported back to his native Canada, had been replaced by Jim Messina, who assembled this album for release after the band's demise.

Stephen Stills's song "Questions" later became
"Carry On", a track on the CSNY album Déjà Vu.
